SkillaNaylor Car Company are pleased to offer this 2012 BMW M135i M Performance 5Dr seen in Alpine White with Black Dakota Leather upholstery.
Please indulge me with a quick BMW geek out. BMW's M Division is 50 years old this year. It was established by BMW to build their racing cars. The first model to come from BMW M was the 3.0 CSL. This became a very successful racing car and won many races and championships. Their first road car and the first car to wear an 'M' badge was the M1 which was first shown in 1978. The M1 was a mid-engine super car designed to compete with the likes of Ferrari and Lamborghini. Following the M1, BMW launched the M535i which soon morphed in to the M5. The M5 laid the ground for many fast M badged BMW's that are still produced today.
To capitalise on the desire of the M badge BMW created another trim level for more mainstream BMWs. This was called M-Sport. An M-Sport badged car has enhanced aerodynamics, larger alloy wheels and a more sports focused interior. The engine in an M-Sport badged BMW is untouched and shared with other cars from within the relevant model series i.e. BMW 318i SE, Sport and M-Sport.
In 2011 BMW launched the New BMW 1 Series hatchback coded named F20, 5Dr and F21, 3Dr. To coincide with the launch of the New BMW 1 Series came another new badge to adorn the tailgate of a BMW. This was BMW M Performance. An M-Performance BMW not only has visual M inspired upgrades but also increased engine power and chassis enhancements. You could see BMW M Performance as BMW M lite.
The BMW M135i M Performance is fitted with 3.0L 6-Cylinder Turbo Petrol engine that is coded named the N55 and in this car it develops 315BHP. Like all great BMW's this car is fitted with a 6-Speed manual gearbox that sends its power to the rear wheels.
As standard the M135i received a new body-kit that featured front bumper engine cooling vents rather than fog lights, twin exhaust housed within a rear defuser, lower side skirts, 18" M-Double Spoke Alloy Wheels painted in Ferric Grey and larger, blue M brakes.
The rivals to the BMW M135i M Performance would be the Audi S3, Mercedes A45 AMG and VW Golf R. All utilise 4-Cylinder Turbo engines and all are 4-Wheel Drive. If the emotion of driving a proper drivers car is at the top of your wish list you know the BMW will be the one to deliver.
This car was supplied new on-island by Buchanan BMW and was originally their demonstrator model. It features a full service history to back up its 'Manx' 45,359 miles. It is painted in Classic BMW Alpine White which contrasts well against its full Dakota Black Leather interior.
To add to the appeal of this car we have carried out some tasteful enhancements. These include a gloss black front bumper lower splitter, Carbon Fibre door mirror covers and we have had the alloy wheels repainted in Porsche Satin Aurum Gold.
Presented in excellent condition this car also now represents excellent value. If the idea of a M car that matches performance & practicality in equal measures this BMW M135i M Performance will not disappoint.
The specification will also not disappoint.
